The vase is made from a medium light grey speckled clay body; left until slightly firm, not too dry but allowing to be cut and folded. Once dried, the pieces go into a bisque firing at 1830 F.
At the end of this process each vase will experience Naked Raku Firing (a variation of a Raku technique which originated in Kyoto, Japan during the sixteenth Century).
The final product therefore is unique, one of a kind, never to be repeated.
